CutFiles.net launched in September 2010 with nearly 200 digital die cut file designs in more than a dozen categories. Available for instant download in SVG (scalable vector graphics) format, these designer cut files are intended to be cut using a digital die cutting machine in conjunction with third-party software such as Sure Cuts A Lot and Make the Cut.
From seasonal images to cute animals, there are dozens of designs to choose from, with more being added all the time. Some of the categories of digital designs include: Birthday Party, Pirate, Halloween, Toys, Butterflies, Wedding, and Flowers and Nature.
While especially popular among scrapbookers and card makers, cut files are not just for paper crafters. Digital die cuts are a fun, affordable tool for teacher billboards, kids’ school projects, and more. You can create and decorate gift bags, favor boxes, iron-ons, glass etchings, centerpieces, cakes, vinyl clings, party supplies – the possibilities are truly endless. Save money, time, and trips to the store by customizing and cutting digital designs from home.
These SVGs are designed to work with a digital die cutting machine paired with Sure Cuts a Lot, Make the Cut, or any other program that supports SVG files and many digital die cutters. The files may work as-is with machines such as Silhouette, Black Cat Cougar or Lynx, Pazzles Inspiration, Craftwell eCraft, BossKut Gazelle, and USCutter, as well as the Wishblade and other Craft ROBO or Graphtec machines. Depending on your cutter and its firmware, you may need to convert the files using tools you find online. The SVGs were originally designed to work with the Cricut, but after ProvoCraft filed lawsuits against the makers of Sure Cuts a Lot and Make the cut, both companies settled the cases by making sure future versions of their software would not work with the Cricut. (Many users report that they can still cut SVGs with the Cricut using older versions.) CutFiles.net also offers Adobe Illustrator files that can be converted to JPG, GSD, DXF and other formats. (You must have AI installed on your computer to do this.)
